All membership options grant identical physical access to the makerspace facilities and equipment. Please choose the specific tier below that matches your role or affiliation.

✅ Tier I — Sponsored Free Access
  • Price: $0.00
  • Who Qualifies:
    • Entrepreneur Students: Active students in the sponsored entrepreneurship cohort.
    • University Departments: Hampton departments using the shop for official university work.
    • VWIEC Graduates: Confirmed graduates of the Virginia Workforce Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center program.
  • Duration: Annual renewal/re-verification required.


✅ Tier II — Business Students
  • Price: $15.00 / month
  • Who Qualifies: Currently enrolled Hampton University undergraduate or graduate business majors.


✅ Tier III — Hampton Students (General)
  • Price: $25.00 / month
  • Who Qualifies: Any active, currently enrolled Hampton University student across all other majors.


✅ Tier IV — Faculty & Staff
  • Price: $35.00 / month
  • Who Qualifies: Current Hampton University faculty, administration, and support staff members.


✅ Tier V — General Public
  • Price: $150.00 / month
  • Who Qualifies: Open community access tier for any general public member aged 18 or older.

For all student, cohort, department, and faculty/staff discount tiers, you will be prompted to enter your Hampton University ID number or program validation details during account registration.
All accounts are subject to manual administrative audit. Physical entry credentials and gate access will only be activated once your affiliation status is verified by makerspace staff.
